Great weekend with friends!!

I have had such a good weekend with my friends! On Friday I went to Jenny's house and we had a Persian BBQ, which was amazig!! It was really good to catch up with Jenny and it was so nice to see the kids again! Zeke and I played football and Loke did his Justin Bieber performance, that kid can dance!! It was such a nice night!

Yesterday was also a great night! Me, Mikaela and Jenny went to town for a sushi dinner at Bauer. The food and wine were amazing as always! We stayed there pretty late and then ended up going to East after.

Friday night in Södermalm

Yesterday I met up with Camilla, the girl who I studied with in London. It's weird to meet up here in Stockholm now that we're both back. When we were in London, we used to have this thing of only speaking English with each other, yesterday we switched to Swedish, it was strange!
We went for sushi and a few drinks on Söder, it was a good night!

It was even warm enough to eat outside!

We went to an English pub before heading home. Yes, the Stella is mine, I really wish I had learned to drink ales in England but they're just too still for my taste.

Xmas shopping

Yesterday after submitting my last essay for this term I went to Oxford street for some xmas shopping. I met up with Andy later and we had sushi at one of those places where it goes around on a thingy (lol don't know how to explain). Anyway, it was nice!

I'm off to Camden with Camilla now for some more Xmas shopping. She's going back to Stockholm tomorrow :(

Thursdays with Camilla

So, Camilla is his Swedish girl I know from Uni. She's from Stockholm Uni as well but we didn't know each other before we moved here. When we met in the beginning of the term we decided to speak English to each other since we're partly here to improve our language skills. It's been so good to have someone to talk to and to explore London with!

We decided early on to try out a new area of London every Thursday night and it's been really good! We have the same classes on Thursdays and it's always a really long and intense day so it's so nice to get out, walk around a new area and have dinner and drinks. So far we've been to: Hammersmith, Imperial Wharf, Brick lane, Victoria, Clapham and yesterday we went to Camden. So far Camden is definitely my favourite area! Clapham was also really good!

We we're just talking yesterday and realized that there aren't many Thursdays left as Camilla is going home in 2-3 weeks :( It's been such a good experience though and the best way  to get to know London!! I will miss our Thursdays! :'(

The Old Mill

The weekend has been so nice! It's not often we have a weekend without any plans. We spent the day at home and I've been trying to study...

Then we went to The Old Mill for a late Sunday roast with red wine, followed by an amazing cheese plate! It's been a good weekend!

Friday!

Ahhh Friday! My favorite day of the week! I decided to have a lie in today since I've been working so hard during the week! But I guess it's back to business now. I've got two novels to read and a short essay to write until Wednesday and Thursday next week. AND we're going away over the weekend again, this time to visit Andy's brother and his family up north. It's really nice to go away and meet Andy's family and also see more of the country but it does put a little pressure on me finishing uni work in time. Next weekend we'll just stay around here though so should get a lot done!

Yesterday after uni Camilla and I went for indian food and some drinks. We went to Brick lane, which is an area that has markets during day time, night time there are millions of indian restaurants there :) I need to go there for markets during the day sometime! Ayway, had a really good night! We were talking about doing something every Thursday after uni unless we have visitors or something else planned.

A great weekend!

I haven't had much time to blog over the weekend. On Saturday morning we went to Andy's friends Dave and Ana and spent the day and night there. They live in a town outside London and we spent most of the day walking around and going to different pubs. In the evening Ana made amazing Indian food and after that we played different trivia games and had more drinks.



Dave, Ana and Andy all like their ale, I've tried it before but haven't really liked it. So I decided to give it another go and it is actually pretty ok, but I still feel it needs bubbles :/

Overall the weekend was great! And now I've only got a few more days before uni starts!

After a week of morning shifts at the hotel it was so nice to get to Fridas last night for indian food and wine. She has this amazing balcony overlooking the water!
